Thinking of trying Private Pilates but have a few questions first? 

Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. This helps to improve general fitness and overall well-being.  


Pilates concentrates on posture, balance and flexibility. The chance of injury is much lower than with other more strenuous forms of exercise.

Pilates also focuses on the mind-body connection. While doing the various exercises your mind needs to be constantly aware of your breathing and the way your body moves. 


There are many benefits to taking a private pilates class. Just a few of them are listed below:

  • More individualised: Private pilates classes are great if you are looking for some one-on-one, it gives you a chance to get to know your body more personally and in-depth.


  • Detailed supervision: Overworking yourself can happen easily when training alone that's why it's a good idea to have somebody close to you that can monitor your movements and provide a safe environment for you to work-out.  


  • No intimidation: The stress from having to work out in front of people you don't know is lowered by taking a private pilates class. You can fully focus on yourself and your own body without the intimidation of making mistakes. It's just you!


Come as you are! It is helpful to wear clothing where you feel comfortable in and that allows you to move freely. 


I provide a mat and bring equipment with me that is deeply disinfected between clients but with time you might want to invest in your own mat and other props (yoga blocks, ankle weights, resistance band) 


The sessions finds place at your location (your home or a peaceful and quiet location of your choice). This is one of the benefits of private pilates as you can be comfortable in your own space and you don't need to invest time in traveling.
